We moved to Wimberley in 2000 and didn't know anyone there. I subbed in a bridge group where I met Lois. Later, I became part of that group and another one where Lois also played. I hadn't played bridge for awhile, and was a little rusty. Lois very subtly gave me some hints without making a fuss about it. Those "hints" are still with me and I think of them often when playing bridge and remember fondly Lois. We were only in Wimberley 5 years, but I kept in touch with Lois after we moved away. She was a smart, talented lady. I was so impressed with her attitude toward her sickness and diagnosis. I hope I can go with half as much grace as she exhibited when my time comes.
