Condolences

Condolence From: Diane & Bob Kerrigan
Condolence: Yes, Lois had vim, vigor and vitality - right up until the very end. I admired all those qualities in her. She was true to herself and no one else's opinion mattered, but she was an honest sole who loved her friends and family deeply. You always knew where you stood with Lois. We felt priviledged to have known her. Rest in Peace Lois!

Condolence From: W. P. "Dub" Saunders
Condolence: My memories of Lois are only recent. We met when she visited Amarillo a few years ago. She attended a dance at our singles dance club and loved to dance. I was lucky enough to have been included in family conversation and story telling while she was in Amarillo.

Condolence: We moved to Wimberley in 2000 and didn't know anyone there. I subbed in a bridge group where I met Lois. Later, I became part of that group and another one where Lois also played. I hadn't played bridge for awhile, and was a little rusty. Lois very subtly gave me some hints without making a fuss about it. Those "hints" are still with me and I think of them often when playing bridge and remember fondly Lois. We were only in Wimberley 5 years, but I kept in touch with Lois after we moved away. She was a smart, talented lady. I was so impressed with her attitude toward her sickness and diagnosis. I hope I can go with half as much grace as she exhibited when my time comes.

Condolence From: Pamela Williamson
Condolence: I first met Lois after coming to live in Wimberley when I subbed in a bridge club she was in. I later joined that bridge group and another she was in. I always was given a hug and warm welcome when I saw her at these bridge days. Later I picked her up and she and I drove together to these bridge days. I loved her always upbeat good nature and the caring she showed to all concerned. I will always remember her for her strength and grace in these past few months of her life and hope I can be like her when my time comes.

Condolence: Lois was a woman of MANY WORDS...lol..if you made her mad in anyway during poker or for that matter any gamblin game she made sure you knew it....lol there was this group of ladies called the girlfriends and we all would meet at Judy's beauty parlor and play poker...gosh , myself and many of us would all get into it with her, but that was just the way we were.. because not one of us would really get mad and stay mad....why, well because we all enjoyed eachother enough to not hold grudges....Lois really did understand if someone was having a rough time at home or just wasn't into it and she would kinda get you to hang around after everyone left and she really did care and would let you vent and she would tell you what she would do...Lois one nite helped me out and gave me an awesome painting that to this day still hangs in my home...Lois you will never be forgotten... tell Judy hey from all the girlfriends and WIN WIN WIN....

Condolence: When I joined the Red Hat Group I was almost afraid to meet Lois
because she sort of ruled the "roost" but after meeting her our friendship
just clicked. When I saw her each time she would have a big smile on her
face when she greeted me. We were always happy when Lois was able
to attend our meetings and play days. She was a delightful lady and
will be missed dearly.

Condolence From: Kay Dierks
Condolence: Lois was one of the first people I met when we moved to Wimberley and she was instrumental in getting me involved in activities and making new friends -- first in line dancing, then Red Hats, next the ladies' Texas Hold'em group, and last but not least, introducing me to bridge. I consider myself blessed to be able to have called her my friend, and I will miss her sorely. My prayers are with her family and her many, many friends. We love you, Lois!

Condolence From: Ben and Georgia Blythe
Condolence: Lois will always be a part of the Blythe family. Each Christmas we hang the darling hand painted oraments she made. We have several paintings and "crafty" items which she lovingly shared. She is someone whom I believe made the most out of every opportunity whether a relationship, an event, or talent. We missed seeing her these last few years, but so enjoyed her emails. Blessings on her family now that she is gone, but we know that it was blessed because she was here.

Condolence: I enjoyed being in the
Red Hat Group with Lois, she was a very dear "FRIEND".
I will miss her, for she was the life of the party.

Condolence: Lois was a mover and a shaker as you can tell by reading her obituary. There is not one thing I can pick out that I loved most about Lois. I loved her sharp wit, intelligence, many talents and loyality as a friend. Another trait I loved was her independence and confidence, which gave her the ability to say what she thought and how she felt without compromising her morals and feelings. I will miss Lois so much but I am glad she is in a place where she can begin moving and shaking again. I'm sure when she arrived in heaven the first thing she asked God was "where's the poker table" or "is there a dance group" and "we paint on Wednesdays, make sure the light is good". One thing for sure, Lois will have it ready for all of us when we go to meet her.
