To Joe's family, Joe and I became friends through our fly fishing club, Austin Fly Fishers. He was always a joy to be around with his charming smile and friendly attitude. He support our clubs efforts to provide fishing fun (SKIFF) for our military families who were serving in harms way and for Casting For Recovery. He was remembered at our meeting this week with your wishes that donations be given in his name to the SKIFF and CFR, several member donated in his name. Joe had a real talent for tying creative fishing fly's. He would bring the fly's he tied each month, donating them to the club to be auctioned off during our meetings with proceeds going to one or the other program. If we ran out of time and did not have an auction, he would give the fly's to me to auction at the next meeting to help raise money for the SKIFF program. We will all miss him.
