I'm saddened to hear of Joe's passing. I met Joe through the Austin Fly Fishers but got to know him better at some of the fly tying events and roundtables. Many of these gatherings had as much to do with fish stories, some of which may even have been true, as they did with fly tying. Joe was a talented and innovative tier and was always willing to share his considerable skills with others. He'll be missed.
