Condolences

Condolence From: Julie
Condolence: Hey Dad.
I can hardly believe it's been almost 6 months. It seems like it was just yesterday. I never knew it was possible to cry this much, this hard, for this long. There's a big hole in my heart that just won't heal.

Condolence From: Jeff Hoelter
Condolence: I'm saddened to hear of Joe's passing. I met Joe through the Austin Fly Fishers but got to know him better at some of the fly tying events and roundtables. Many of these gatherings had as much to do with fish stories, some of which may even have been true, as they did with fly tying. Joe was a talented and innovative tier and was always willing to share his considerable skills with others. He'll be missed.

Condolence From: Beverly and Virgil Gould
Condolence: I first met Joe in 1992, when I moved to The Hills. You were such a delight to see everyday. Little did I know that 10 years later I would move to Lakeway and you and MaryAnn would be my neighbor.
We will miss you. Not only such a wonderful person, but always there when we needed a racket strung.
Truly our loss. But we know you are with your sweetheart again.

Condolence From: Ron Cruse
Condolence: To Joe's family,
Joe and I became friends through our fly fishing club, Austin Fly Fishers. He was always a joy to be around with his charming smile and friendly attitude. He support our clubs efforts to provide fishing fun (SKIFF) for our military families who were serving in harms way and for Casting For Recovery. He was remembered at our meeting this week with your wishes that donations be given in his name to the SKIFF and CFR, several member donated in his name. Joe had a real talent for tying creative fishing fly's. He would bring the fly's he tied each month, donating them to the club to be auctioned off during our meetings with proceeds going to one or the other program. If we ran out of time and did not have an auction, he would give the fly's to me to auction at the next meeting to help raise money for the SKIFF program. We will all miss him. I personally am praying for your entire family, knowing that Joe is in a better place. Ron Cruse, a fly fishing friend.

Condolence From: Jim Robinson, austin Fly Fisher
Condolence: Joe was always around and supporting the Austin Fly Fishers with his positive attitude and fly tying. He often donated his flies to our auctions. I remember last year while I was debating about going on a fishing trip, he said "do while you can". He will be dearly missed. Jim Robinson

Condolence: Well Joe... I guess you and Mary Ann are finally together..yin and yang. I have such fond memories of you at the guard gate at The Hills with Mr. Parker. I had to laugh when I asked you why you stopped working at the gate and you replied, "It just wasn't fun anymore." You lived life large and I am so glad you got to see Rockport again. Good bye, my friend and God Bless you and Mary Ann.....or should I just say "see you soon."
Peace be with you, Gretchen
