Norma (I called her Peck) always tried to make Nancy and I act like young ladies..I'm sure we frustrated her! In 1963, Nancy and her Mom and Dad invited me to go to Dallas for a weekend visit with Peck and Jim Bob. Peck took us to Neiman Marcus, downtown Dallas, for lunch. She made us dress up and we even had to wear gloves. We had a blast! Jim Bob took us to see a new movie, "The Pink Panther." I laughed so hard. They made sure we had a good time! Such good memories for me. Such good people. During the late 1990s, when my husband and I lived in Kingwood, we got to see Peck and Jim Bob several times when they were visiting Nancy. Always enjoyed getting to see them. We've lost her too soon.
