I grew up with Stuart in Abilene and we were at UT at the same time as well. Everyone in Abilene knew him as "Speedy" Benson. Speedy played baseball for Abilene High as well as at UT and I enjoyed watching him play at both institutions. I always considered Speedy to be a good friend and a great person.
