Rozan Rappeport Zidell died peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at her home in Austin, TX.

Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, February 1, 1927, to Goldie and Eugene Rappeport, Rozan was a spirited woman who enjoyed entertaining friends and family and sharing advice on everything from fashion to cards to golf. We will miss her stories, her incredible cooking and overall her feisty outlook on life.

She moved to Austin in 1963 to raise her family, sons Bobby and Marc Zidell and daughter Marsha Kruger, and to start her own consignment business, Re-Threads. She is survived by her children; brother, Myron Rappeport of Ft. Smith, AR; grandchildren, Matthew, Adam and Noah Kruger, Blake and Jeremy Zidell, and Meagan and Brandon Zidell; great grandchildren; her nieces, Kay Rappeport and Jennifer Rappeport Allison, and nephews, Steve, Mike, Joe and Gene Rappeport; and her beloved Maltese, Coco.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Capital Parks Cemetery – Beth Israel 3, in Pflugerville.
