Mathaus' beautiful smile has blessed our walls here at the Bastrop CURVES since last year when his grandmother Louise brought his pictures for me to use during the 2011 Relay for Life. All the ladies here at CURVES prayed and asked about him often. We are all saddened by the loss and blessed to have known about his courageous battle, we met his grandmother, not him, and yet we feel the void! As the mother of a daughter who survived childhood cancer from the age of 15 months, my heart goes out to the family at this time.
