Bob Meinzer, age 71, passed away September 18, 2012 surrounded by his immediate family. Born in 1941 in Breckenridge, Texas he lived a loving and full life, enjoying his large family and numerous friends. He married his wife Pat, his partner and love of his life, in 1960 and they rarely spent a day apart.

Bob graduated from the University of Texas in 1965, raised three children and retired at age 65 from Hill Country Concrete Products, the business he and Pat founded in 1978. Bob truly enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren, particularly at the lake house that he and Pat enjoyed for many years. An active golfer, he enjoyed his golf groups and regular breakfast groups. He loved fishing with his son and grandsons, and he enjoyed all the family road trips and travels with Pat.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Vincent Meinzer and is survived by his mother, Norma Smith; wife, Pat Meinzer; children, Patti & Dan Steiner, Janice & Richard Gorman and Amber & Neal Meinzer; brother, Hoie Charles Meinzer; and grandchildren Zach, Carson, Chandler, Grace, Chelsea, Ben, Hayden, Laurie and Scott.

An active member of Manchaca United Methodist Church, he would have asked that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Manchaca United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Manchaca United Methodist Church.
