Please know that you all are continually on my mind, in my heart, and in my prayers. Mary Alice was such an important part of your lives, and she always will be. Your sense of loss right now must seem overwhelming. May the Lord hold you and help you through this very difficult and painful time. When I was a little girl, I viewed your mother as the essence of calmness and stability. I thought she had majic hands because she could make the ladies who came to her beauty shop look so pretty! On Mondays my mother and I went together with Mary Alice and Anita to downtown Austin for our big shopping excursion and lunch at the Picadilly Cafeteria. That was a highlight in our week! Mary Alice was a true friend, and I will not forget her. I cherish the necklaces she made and sent to Mother and me. May you be filled with peace and hope until the day you see your sweet mother again!
