Condolences

Condolence From: Sheila Ronkin
Condolence: :Lea and I met when we were both young mothers working for Vanda Beauty Counselor. We became instant friends and remained so for all the years we have known each other even when our lives went in different directions. When Alan and I moved to Bellingham, I said to him that I thought I remembered that Lea lived near us. Ilooked up her address and sure enough sje was living one street away from me. I went to her house and rang the doorbell. We greeted eachother as if only a few weks had passed, not years. She got me involved in the local Hadassah chapter, we saw each other often. When she moved there was a hole in my world for the place she had held. I shall miss her very, very much.

Condolence: Lea will be remembered for her bright spark, wonderful attitude and beautiful smile. She was always such a pleasure to be with and always had a kind word.

Condolence: So many memories, don't know where to start. Lea was a member of Temple Beth Torah in Holliston, MA, taught my son in its religious school (Dan was in Steve's class), and used her talents as an interior decorator to help beautify our Sanctuary when we remodeled in 1985. Saw her last year when she was visiting Holliston. My heart goes out to the family at this sad time. And, as someone else said, her memory is a blessing.

Condolence: When I moved to Sun City about 18 months ago and met Lea at a Hadassah event, we realized that we had met before. After talking she discovered that I had belonged to the Northern New England Region of Hadassah, and she told me that she had been a member of the Boston Chapter. We had worked together on combined events and knew many of the same people. Who thought we would meet again in Georgetown, Texas! Her love for Hadassah and Israel was infectious to all who met her. She will be solely missed.

Condolence: Lea was the first person I met here in Sun City when looking for a home just a year ago this month. I contacted her prior to my coming here to Sun City to find out about the Jewish community. She made me feel so welcome from the minute I met her. She was just the sweetest, most generous, kind, warm, giving and all around wonderful person - a true mensch that we should all aspire to emulate! I learned a little about her and her family during our tea time first visit in her home, and she invited me to a Hadassah meeting that was happening the next evening, which for me, told me I wanted to move here and be a part of CHS and the Kadima Hadassah chapter from the wonderful people I met that evening.

Condolence: I am so very sad to learn of Lea's passing. Lea was one of the first ladies that I met at my first Regional Hadassah meeting. She welcomed me like a daughter. My fondest memory of Lea is watching David Broza and dancing the night away with her and with Rochelle at the Hadassah National Convention in LA. She was SO full of warmth and life. I was always inspired by her enthusiasm. I will truly miss her wonderful smile and the genuine hugs she would give me whenever our paths were lucky enough to cross. My heart and prayers go out to her lovely family.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of the loss of a dear, sweet lady of whom I met when she volunteered for the Neighborhood 13 Ladies Coffee committee. I had just volunteered to lead a committee, and Lea immediately said she wanted to help me. Lea was a joy to know and will be sorely missed.
