Condolence From: Bill Stotesbery
Condolence: I knew Johnny slightly from Austin City Limits tapings at ACL LIve. He had a great attitude and I enjoyed it whenever I saw him.

Condolence: Marc was part of the "real" rock n roll work. He made the shows happen - helped get the whole concert or taping or event up and rolling. Lots of us just work on the icing. Marc was part of the making the cake. He will be missed.

Condolence: Marc and I were elevator buddies..we had many long conservations waiting for a very slow elevator. He had a real joy for his work and for life in general. I will miss his smiling face.

Condolence From: Rex Parsons
Condolence: I always enjoyed working with Marc and hanging out and talking to him during the down time before and after each shift. Our political and social views were opposites but it didn't matter to Marc or to me. Marc had a fun filled soul and spirit and will be missed. But I know that we will see each other again...These word are from a song about the loss of my father but can be felt by anyone that has ever lost someone they cared about and wished that they could have known that person better or wished they could have another chance to see them and let them know how they felt..

Condolence: Marc Thurman was a leader amonst his peers. he was always early and the last to leave. He always made sure his guys, whether he was steward that day or not, complete the tasks they were asked of them. He always made sure his guys were properly dressed in their W3 shirts and acted professionally on the job. if they did not, he would quickly and quitley replace them without alerting ACL staff that there was a problem at all. When given a task, he would jump right in, gather his crew and complete the task far beyon expectations. He was a true pro.
He was great to work with. He had the perfect amount of professionalism mixed with mischievous wit that made him fun to work with as well. he was very funny and always seemed to have a positive mood even when the job was not fun at all.
He will truly be missed in friendship and workplace. it just wont be the same without him. rest in peace my dear friend. you will always be in our hearts and soul.

Condolence: I can't believe he's gone. Marc was one of the funniest, most compassionate, smartest, and most generous people I have ever known. Those words don't seem to describe well enough the person that he was. I hadn't seen Marc in years (except on Facebook) and the sadness I feel is as deep as if I had seen him just a few days ago. The reason? He made an impact. Whether you knew him for 5 minutes or 5 years...he made an impact.

Condolence: When I was younger & had troubles @ home. My uncle skip & Aunt Ilene said "she can come stay with us". For the first time in my life, I got to see what a real family was like. It was wounderful & they treated me so well! Before, I had lived with all girls since I was the middle of 3 girls. John Mark & David (aka Smickel) treated me like I was the sister they never had. Never once were they mean to me or picked on me because of my situation. They were my brothers even if it was only a short while. I will miss you Mark & I feel like we have all lost a brother. May you R.I.P. w/ all the angels.
