Condolences

Condolence From: Lynn Moak
Condolence: Glenn hired me as a research assistant in 1966 at the Governor's Committee on Public Education. From then until my departure from the Texas Research League in 1971, he was my boss, my friend and my mentor. Time and time again, he showed his faith that I could progress in our profession despite numerous shortcomings on my part. I treasure my memories as well as the constant support and friendship of his wife, Evelyn. He exemplified his profession and his departure was a major loss to the governmental community in Texas. To his family and friends, I offer my condolences. To Glenn and Evelyn, I know they are together again.

Condolence: Glenn handed the reins of Courtyard Tennis Club over to me in 1998. I am eternally grateful for his friendship & guidance then, and over the years. He and his wonderful wife, Evelyn, were truly good people, and both are missed.

Condolence: I am the daughter of Paul Thompson, a fierce tennis competitor of Glenn's. I have many fond memories of Glenn and Evelyn at tennis tournaments. It is my delight to know that our friend Yewande was able to become a special person in the life of Glenn and Evelyn. I am praying for your family in your grief. I know that my mother Patricia Thompson would like to extend her sympathy as well.

Condolence: I'm so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. My father also started with the TRL in 1953 and worked there until 1966 when he moved to Dallas to teach at El Centro. I have such fond memories of your father; he taught me how to play tennis and we spent happy times at the Caswell courts - I still have that old racket. Wishing you peace, Julia

Condolence: Glenn and Evelyn were my parents, Julian and Lois', good friends. They met in the early '50s when dad joined the Texas Research League. I have many fond memories of spending time with the Ivys and benefiting from their warm hospitality.
Glenn was a kind and thoughtful man who loved his family and tennis. From an early age, I knew the Ivy's dogs were named after famous women tennis players. I especially remember Althea and Goolagong.
My thoughts are with John, Karen, Michelle and Candace.

Condolence: I am so sad to learn of Glenn's passing. What a wonderful person and wonderful friend he was. And what a great tennis partner.
Glenn was always getting me into trouble---figuring out what I should do next--mainly to help the tennis world. But he was always right about the jobs that needed to be done.
Thinking of Glenn and Evelyn brings back lots of wonderful memories. I will miss Glenn very much.
Best regards and love to John, Karen and those granddaughters he loved so much.
