Condolence: When Lita called last week, I pulled out our old yearbooks, studied them, cried, laughed. I remembered so much, and even pulled together broken strings of a few forgotten thoughts: band practice—Pat Patterson throwing his director’s baton, the fun and frustration of annual staff, competition—always competition(!), football games, parties at Nancy’s. . . I could go on for pages.

Condolence: Tommy was alyays a fun guy to be around all through High School(especially band. One year at a Homecoming game Tommy had the job of lighting up(coffee cans with diesel fuel in them) a big 'M' on the north end of the Mustang Bowl. The llights were turned out(which made a big display on the end of the field). Well Tommy lit them up, started back dowh the decline(which was dirt at that time)jumped up on the cement fence fell into the end zone on his chest. When they turned the lights back on Tommy was lying face down in the grass. So the next thing that happenned was the Patterson Funeral Home '59 Pontiac ambulance went flying to the north end, picked up Tommy and headed for the hospital(Old Simmons Memorial.) Tommy had broken his collar bone, but we could not start the game after half time until the Ambulance got back. We were all glad he did not hurt himself any more than that. And he always loved playing in the Band and being a cheer learder. Our heartfelt sympathy goes to Betsy and the Family and friends. We celebrate Tommy's life, mourn his passing, and rejoice of his entering into Heaven. May GOD be with you Betsy and the Family and friends. GOD has blessed me by having Tommy in my life.

Condolence: I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family. Tom and I got to know each other in the Town & Gown Club. It was there we learned we were fellow West Texans. I was born and raised in Colorado City so we were able to have many good chats about growing up in the same neck of the woods.

Condolence: Tom was wonderful and exciting 4 year member of the University of Texas Longhorn Bands when I was priviledged to be his mentor and Director!
Those were exciting times as the band was still in its "growing stage" and he was a most important part of the upgrade taking place!
Later on he was a most important part of our founding of the Longhorn Alumni Band!
I shall always remember his "fire" and positive attitude! and will always think of him as "one of my band boys"!!!

Condolence: I will forever picture Tommy dancing at Carey's wedding. How he enjoyed that night....dancing with each of us! He was such a fun personality and I loved his enthusiam in all he did. He had a way of putting everyone he met at ease immediately with his warmth and sincerity. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to share in a few moments of his life.
