Chester “Chet” Charles Lucido III

Chester “Chet” Charles Lucido III, 48, of Austin, Texas passed away on September 25, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with prostate cancer. Chet was born on April 7, 1964, in Pittsburgh, PA to parents, Chester Charles Lucido, Jr. and Linda F. Lucido. Chet was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend.

Chet was married on May 16, 1998 to Barbara “Barb” Ann Gast. Chet and Barb were blessed with two beautiful children, Christopher Charles (13) and Sarah Nicole (11).

Chet graduated from Concord Carlisle High School in Concord, MA. After graduation, he attended Miami University (Ohio) where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business. Chet continued his education at Boston College where he received his MBA in Business Administration. Chet spent his career working in educational publishing.

Chet is survived by his wife, Barb Lucido, and their two children, Christopher and Sarah of Austin, TX; parents, Chester C. Lucido, Jr. and Linda Lucido, of Williamsburg, VA; brother Brad Lucido, his wife Denise and their children, Caitlin and Justin of Suffield, CT; sister Kristen Ward, her husband Steven, and their children, Joey, Lindsey and Lucy of Potomac, MD. Chet was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 29,2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis, located at 411 RR 620 South, Lakeway, TX 78734. Services will be held Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 3:00 P.M., at Austin Christian Fellowship, 6401 River Place Blvd., Austin, TX 78730, with graveside service to follow at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, TX, 78731.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Chet’s memory to a fund set up for the children and/or the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
