Lucy McCarthy Spielman, age 96, of Austin passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012. She was born on June 14, 1916 in Manila, Philippine Islands to Frank and Augustine McCarthy.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert B. Spielman; and a son, Elmo B. Spielman.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret L. Spielman and her son, Paul R. Spielman.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, 200 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.
