Timothy John Theis of Austin, Texas passed away August 24, 2012 in Manor, Texas. The son of Donna DeWeese and Vincent Theis, he was born on December 26, 1963 in Nashville, Kansas. He was an active member of the deaf community, holding offices with the Southwest Basketball Association of the Deaf, Inc., the United States of America Deaf Basketball, Inc. and volunteer coaching football at the Texas School for the Deaf, where he was a graduate of the Class of 1983.

Timothy is survived by his two children, Mariana Autumn Theis and Tristan John Theis; his mother, Donna DeWeese; two brothers, Ted and Thomas; two sisters, Teresa and Tama; his godson, Marcus Buchardt; numerous other nieces and nephews; and a great many friends. His former step-children, Betsy Becker, Cristina Corey and Billy Becker are proud to call him Dad.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Timothy’s name to the Texas School for the Deaf Foundation either online at www.tsdfoundation.org/get-involved/donate, or by mail at P. O. Box 42727, Austin, Texas 78704-2727.

Funeral Service will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue with Reverend Tim Smith officiating. Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Maud Cemetery, Cunningham, Kansas with Pastor Mike McGovney officiating.
