R.W. “Bill” Doll, age 89, of Austin, Texas, died on August 16, 2012. He was born on September 10, 1922, to Ralph J. Doll and Lucile E. Doll in Canton, Ohio.

Bill’s education included, Lehman High School in Canton, Ohio, Kiski Preparatory School in Saltsburg, PA, Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio.

Bill served his country in the US Army Air Corp, as a Paratrooper during WW II in Europe. He was employed by Western and Southern Life Insurance Company for 41 years.

Bill is survived by his wife Jeanne E. Doll of Austin; daughters Kitty Doll Caruthers and husband Edward of Rochester, NY and Sally Ann Doll of Austin, TX; sister Dorothy Pacenta of Fairlawn, OH; many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Diane Doll Kerr and sister Evelyn Dierdorf.

Bill possessed a great sense of humor. He was a special father to his daughters and beloved husband for 65 years.

Private family services were held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
