Dorothy Rodgers Igau passed away quietly at her home, located near Lago Vista, Texas on Tuesday July 6, 2010 at the age of 100 years. Dorothy was born in Houston, Texas on November 28, 1909 and was the daughter of Richard Rodgers and Blanche K. Rodgers of Houston. She graduated from Saint Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute, Indiana studying Art and Biology. Her favorite past-time was oil painting and has developed an impressive gallery of art work over her lifetime.
She was predeceased by her husband Hubert Charles Igau who passed away in 1989 after 56 years of marriage. Hubert worked as a Geologist, in Houston, for the Superior Oil Company of California. In the late 1980’s Dorothy and Hubert moved from Houston to the beautiful Hill Country where they enjoyed their retirement years watching the deer, turkey and other wildlife feed around their home. Dorothy and her Family operated Sunset Ranch West raising registered and commercial cattle since 1986.
Survivors include son Richard R. Igau and wife Sandra F. Igau, son Michael H. Igau and daughter Adrian Igau McClanahan all of Lago Vista, Texas; grandsons Kelly L. McClanahan, Lane McClanahan, Jr., Richard C. Igau and wife Dwynne Igau, and Michael D. Igau and wife Iva Igau; granddaughter Carol Lynn Kaiser; one great grandson, three great granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephew.
Visitation hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, Lamar location.

Recitation of the Rosary will be Friday, July 9th at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Saturday July 10, 2010 at Saint Mary Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 6100 Lohmans Ford Rd, Lago Vista, TX 78645 (512) 267-2644.
Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023 (713) 928-5141
