Condolence: Dear Jayne, Suzanne, and Allen, I am so sorry for your loss. The last time I saw James was at your house in Rockwall when I came for a brunch. In a way, I am glad that he is free from all of the pain he suffered. However, I know that you are never ready to lose someone you love. I would have come to the service today, but I didn't here about it until tonight from Dorothy Polk. My love and prayers go with all of you.

Condolence: The thoughts and prayers of everyone here at Down Home Ranch are with the Irby family. Though we did not know Jim well, we see him every day in Alan's smile.

Condolence: When James opened Irby's Waffle Shop he gave me a job as a busboy/dishwasher and a life long friend. My entire family enjoyed Irby's, James and Jayne and will miss him.

Condolence: When I was working at Zales, and pregnant, I went to James' Waffle Shop next door to get crackers from Granny Irby! I loved that family, and kept Suzanne after Jayne went back to work after she was born. From the Wilson Family, I send my deepest sympathy and love for you all! Rhonda

Condolence: What an amazing man and he had such a wonderful sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers and love go out to Jane, Alan, Suzanne and Mackenzie as well as Houston and the rest of his family. He will be missed greatly.

Condolence: I am very sorry to hear about sweet Mr. James....I have trouble calling him Mr. Irby because I called his dad Mr. Irby! He was my dad too growing up. I can still hear his voice LOUD and clear to make sure I could hear him with my hearing impairment. He was an awesome man and I will always treasure my memories of many good times. I drive by the old restaurant many times on the way to Sandy's Dance and remember the good ole days. I have actually driven out to the house in Poetry to just sit and remember the good ole times driving around in the golf cart just to get to the end of your drive! I treasured the Sundays your parents were at home with the family when I stayed with ya'll on the weekends! So many laughs I will never forget...I love you all!
