Lula Wylene “Gran” Outlaw, age 78, of Elgin, Texas passed away at home on Wednesday, July 13, 2011. She was born on September 24, 1932 to Willis and Lula McDonald in Port Neches, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Odis E. Outlaw; daughter, Connie Sue Shlepr; sister, Beatrice England.
Wylene is survived by her brothers, J. D. McDonald, Harold McDonald; son, William David Outlaw, of St. Petersburg, Florida; daughters, Dianne Dionne, Austin, Texas, Donna L. Barron of Webberville, Texas; brother-in-law, Cecil Outlaw; and sister-in-law, Net Alred, of Auburndale, Florida; twelve grandchildren, Christopher Outlaw, Amanda DeVega, Colleen Whited, Matthew Dionne, Paul Dionne and Diana Rosenbaum, Andrew Shlepr, Josh Shlepr, Becky Martinez, Jason Barron, Adrianna Rohlack, Christina Barron; sixteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
Gran will greatly be missed by all her loved ones. When Gran would come to visit or you go to visit her, the first thing she wanted was a kiss and hugs, all her grandchildren can tell you this. They will never forget. She lived and loved to play with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always have a special place in all our hearts, as well as her children.
