Obituary for Douglas Neal Turner

Douglas Neal Turner, 65, of Driftwood TX passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012.
He was born on August 20, 1946, in Shreveport LA to Charles and Betty Turner.
Neal graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology in 1969. Neal spent 36 years as a Sales Representative for Dixie Tool Crib in Austin TX, where he forged many friendships with his customers. Neal was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church and enjoyed participating as an Associate Leader with the Girl Scouts for many years.
Neal is survived by his wife of 22 years, Wandean, his two daughters, Dawn Howard and husband John of Bedford TX, Demetra Turner and partner Becky Janysek of Kyle, sister Lynn Hartman and husband Ken of Chattanooga TN, step-children, Kathryn Anne Whitener of Lago Vista TX, Ernest Furr of Austin TX and Herbert Furr of Del Valley TX, grandchildren Tyler Brink of Kyle TX and Valerie Howard of Bedford TX, brother-in-law Marvin Petzolt and wife Sheri of Austin TX, nieces Michelle Hobrecht of Chattanooga TN and Lena Hartman of Alpharetta GA, nephews Michael and Christopher Petzolt of Austin extended family and many friends.
Neal was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Charles and Elizabeth Turner, his mother and step-father, Betty and Richard Flickinger, and his in-laws, Walter and Susie Petzolt.
