Condolence From: Amy Garcia Hernandez
Condolence: We had a lot of fun growing up together: swimming, roaming the neighborhood, playing games; especially the one she taugh us - Bull and Creots (somtething like that). I think she cleaned up the name of the game for us. I loved playing that game with her on the sidewalk. I will miss her. My condolences goes out to the Horton family for the loss of your patriarch and your lovely daughter and sister. She was special. She and Paul are now in God's hands; may he bless them and keep them resting in peace.

Condolence: Kiki was the very first friend that I made in Austin, TX when I moved here so many years ago. She had seen me post about moving from Detroit to Austin, back when we all used to religiously blog on Livejournal. She became a source of news and an amazing "how to" guide on that move.

Condolence: Judy and family, I was very sad when I stumbled on Christal's obituary. Christal was already working in SAVERR when I came to Fountain Park in the late 70's. Over the years, we worked together at the Exchange Building and finally at HHSC. Christal was always a very kind and helpful person. She touched many of those who worked alongside her. She will be greatly missed.

Condolence: Ahhh, KiKi! That sweet, beautiful smile! I'll remember it forever along with my memories of KiKi the morning she was baptized at Hyde Park Baptist Church! Her tears and her smile mingled so beautifully as she experienced the joy of knowing her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ! I have no doubt her faith sustained her through her journey with her illness and has carried her into the presence of our awesome God! We will miss her here on earth but will be with her again when we reach the presence of God, for there she dwells!

Condolence: My dear friend, I miss you already. I loved so much about you, your beautiful, soulful eyes, that great smile that would light up the room, the silly talks, the devotion to your friends - no matter what!, but mostly, your heart, always open, always welcoming, always full of love and forgiveness. Be at peace my dear friend, I love you so. -

Condolence: We worked at the state together and my birthday is on Halloween so every year I had a party on Halloween so we all would come in a costume and one year Christal came as a an old house wife with a night gown curlers and old house shoes. she looked so funny. But she the one thing is she still looked beautiful regardless of her costume. Because we knew who she was. She was Christal. She was beautiful no matter what.

Condolence: What I will always remember and treasure most is Christal's love for our family. We love her and always will. She embraced us, our children and our grands not just physically when we saw her but through her eyes and her smile. We promised to meet for lunch or dinner when I was in town - thankfully we were able to come together with other Luevano family members a couple of months ago. Her face lit the room as we gathered in the corner of the restaurant. I will hold on to that evening and the memory of the love that flowed around us. Love you cousin ... always. You were a warrior on earth fighting the cancer war but now you are an angel in Heaven. ... Rest now.

Condolence: This just breaks my heart. Chris and I shared our teen years on Bramble going through things that help you mature. Between getting our learners permit to Chris being in my car accident. Thankfully I didn't hurt her. She knew I had such a crush on the guy that lived at the first house and we spent hours wondering what would happen. As with everything we went into our young adult world and ended up lost to one another. Only recently with the help of another friend, Anna Ingram, I found her and started to leave hopes for her when she was going through the fight. I know when I tell my parents, it will deeply sadden them. Mom and Chris's Mom Hilda worked together and had become friends also. Chris told me that there were so many things she wanted to ask me. We just never got around to finding out what had happened in our journey to middle age. I am so sorry I had to miss out on so many years. I can tell she was such a great person by all the people who love her.
