James D. Roberson, age 90 of Austin, Texas passed away June 4, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Willie Mae Roberson; daughter, Jane Olesky; brothers, Don Roberson and Gene Roberson.
James is survived by his wife of 70 years, Johna Roberson; daughter, Janis Clingingsmith and husband Tom of Austin; grandson, Chris Sanso and wife Rosa of Austin; son-in-law, John Olesky of Kyle; grandson, John Darrell Olesky of Austin; grandson, Jeff Olesky of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Jennifer Moore and husband Tim of Luling; sister, Bonnie Cooper of Bryan College Station; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
James was a veteran of the Army Air Corp. He was a member of Congress Avenue Baptist Church for 45 years. He retired from Texas Employment Commission after 35 years of Service. He was a member of the Austin Senior Golf Association and a member of the Texas Pecan Growers Association.
The family would like to thank, Lori Kelley and staff of Elmcroft Senior Living and New Century Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress. Funeral Service 11:00 am Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Weed-Corley Fish Chapel interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery, Manchaca, Texas.
