Condolence: The Williamsons' residence was like my second home in high school and throughout college. Being a friend of the family and the twins, Col. Williamson never treated me any differently than his own daughters. He scolded me and even "grounded" me when Karen and Connie made me do something we shouldnt have done. He was one tough soldier who had deep love for his country, deep love for his wife and an especially deep love for his 4 beautiful daughters. Each of them were and still are the apple of his eye. Col. Wiiliamson thank you for taking the time to teach me valuable lessons and not letting me get away with all the calamities Karen and Connie influenced me to get in to. My nickname will always be Eddie Haskell and I will never open a cookie jar without smiling and thinking of you and the wonderful times at your home. I love you and "Give Em' Hell in Heaven!" Condolence: Our condolences to Dolly and the Williamson family. Bill and I were Sigma Chi fraternity brothers at Miami University (Ohio) in the early 50s and became part of the USAF through ROTC. We became part of the original Jungle Jim group at Hurlburt Field, 1961, and renewed our friendship. It was somewhat short lived as we all went off in different directions. We were able to spend some time together at last fall's Air Commando reunion, never realizing Bill was in a final battle. In hoc, Bill, All honor to his name. Andy

Condolence: Col. Bill was always willing to help a fellow friend. He was instrumental in making our dream to go to Africa a reality. We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dolly and family.

Condolence: Colonel Williamson handled my first 2 safaris to Africa (Zimbabwe) back in 89' and 91'. Bill was always there to help me out with any questions or concerns I had regarding the trips. I especially enjoyed our conversations we had at the Annual Dallas Safari Club Conventions.

Condolence: Bill introduced me to African hunting in 1988. He planned a trip for me and my father in law, Harold Gouge, to Zimbabwe. It was wonderful, and we went back several times.

Condolence: I'm so sorry to read of Bill's passing. My condolences and prayers to Dolly and the girls. Bill was a friend, a mentor and a hunting buddy. We shared so many good times but the 3 African safaris we went on together are wonderful memories I will always treasure. We went to Ethiopia 20 years ago and I still have a picture of us in my office from that trip. Bill also gave me one of the maps of Africa he designed and that also hangs in my office so I think of our friendship daily.

Condolence: Col Bill Williamson was one of the finest men I have known.He was my neighbor,hunting buddy and friend.His love of his country was only surpassed by his love for Dolly and his daughters and their families. The International hunting community will miss him greatly as he was highly respected for his integrity and personal touch.The memories we shared in Africa could fill a book and I am proud that he is indelibly linked to those monumental events in my life. Condolence: Bill and Dolly have been our neighbors for the past 17 years (we live across the street). Every morning they would be up walking their dogs when we took our girls to school. Bill would go one way with his Lab/ hunting dog and Dolly would go the other way with Belle (her beagle mix dog). They would eventually meet back in the middle. They would then sit in their driveway and watch the kids walk to school, then go about their day. I rarely saw them apart - at the grocery store or out to eat -- they were always together. We are so saddened by Bill's passing but comforted to know he is no longer suffering.
