Patsy Ann Patteson Rose, 81, of Austin, Texas was born February 24, 1931 in San Angelo, TX to Sally and Pat Patteson. She grew up in Midland, TX graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1951. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and remained a faithful alumna for the rest of her life. While at U.T. Patsy met Howard V. Rose and they married on June 26, 1954. They made a home in Midland and moved to Austin in 1967. She was an avid tennis player, cook, member of Junior League of Austin, volunteered at the Natural Science Center and Austin High School. She was member of Westwood Country Club, Tarry House and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years; her brother Robert W. Patteson; children Mandy Rose Delk, Vance Rose, Julie Rose McCully; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3208 Exposition Blvd, Austin.
