Obituary for James Williford

James David Williford, 32 years old, died tragically as an innocent victim of a high-speed police chase on June 15, 2012 in south Austin, Texas.
James was born on January 4, 1980, in Austin to Miriam Stewart and Richard Summers.
He graduated from McNeil High School and shortly after began his pursuit of career choices consisting of managing Regal Cinema Theatres and First USA Customer Service. Quickly, James found his niche at Brackenridge Hospital working in the Supply Department. There James mastered the art of being the "SPD MAN". He studied the materials, knew all the merchandise the hospital supplied, and could correctly tell the nurses what they needed when they would say "you know that thing for the stomach" – "oh you mean the g-tube". James continued to grow and climb the ladder starting in the mail room at Brackenridge Hospital and then becoming the best service lead they had. After many years of AWESOME service he was asked to take a managerial position at Seton Medical Center where he continued to give his all. It was not an easy transition leaving the Brackenridge Hospital that he loved so much where everyone knew his name and could always count on him, but he did. At Seton Main Medical Center, James was able to continue his strong work ethic and made his job a priority, taking phone calls after hours and on weekends. James never said no to anyone when they needed help. James was proud of what he did and gave his all. He was absolutely without a doubt AWESOME, and he knew it too!
Whether it was shaving his head for the St. Baldrick's Childrens fundraiser or helping out a friend, James was always there to give. His heart was full of love, joy, and happiness with an occasional salute of the middle finger to make it interesting.
James Williford is survived by his wife Esther Seoanes; his mother Miriam Stewart; his father Richard Summers; brother Paul Ater; aunt Alice Vines-Crowe and husband Don; uncle Leon Stewart and wife Barbara; cousins Melissa and Matt Vines, Angela and Will Stewart; sisters-in-law Annette, Rose, Lorena, and Susan Seoanes; his loving doggie son and daughter Harvey Danger and Lina Inverse; and closest friends the Toohey brothers (Mark, Sean, and Paul), Shale Smith, Joaquin, Linda Stiefert, Shelly Taylor, and Maureen Goodwin; and too many additional friends and family to be named.
