Tom Fairbrother, age 58, died on July 7 as a result of a construction accident at the University of Texas in Dallas. Tom was born on January 14, 1954 to Thomas William Fairbrother and Yvonne Wendell Fairbrother. He was born and spent a portion of his youth in New Jersey, but moved to Texas in 1968. He graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1972 and then attended classes at Texas State University.
At the time of his death, Tom was doing what he loved the most; building. Through his company, Texas Erectors, Tom worked on many large projects throughout Texas and enjoyed every minute of it.
His other passions in life were motorcycles, reading, traveling, friends, faith, and family.
Tom is survived by his siblings Roger and Rene Fairbrother of Cedar Park, Michele Douglas (children Daniel, Dana, Debra) of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Paul and Diana Fairbrother (children Joanna, Nicholas, Colleen) of Austin and his girlfriend Lisa Rother of Austin. He is also survived by his uncle, Walter Joseph Fairbrother of Riverside, New Jersey.
Memorial services will be held at 10AM, July 14th at Weed-Corley-Fish, 3125 N. Lamar. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
