Mary was born July 11, 1937 in New York City to Edwin and Mary Trask, the eldest of six children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Gail and Carol; brother, Johnny; brother-in-law, Fred Schneider.
Mary is survived by her three children, Mary Summerlin, Carl John Lindeberg and wife Joanne, Elizabeth Hawkins; grandchildren, Justin Summerlin, Jackie Serault, Matthew Hawkins, Andrea Hawkins, Samantha Lindeberg, Steven Lindeberg; great-grandchildren, Teavione Hawkins, Maverick Serault; brother, Michael Trask; sister, Kathy Schneider; as well as many nieces; nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Mary came to Texas when she was 12 years old. Her family settled in San Antonio where she attended Our Lady of the Lake High School. At 22 she moved to Austin, Texas with her husband and children and made this her home. She spent the next 53 years raising her children and being very involved in her church and community. Over the years she worked for several local companies and met a lot of wonderful friends who she cherished and enjoyed and was always there for them when they needed her.
God called her home before her family and friends were ready to let her go. Her three children were by her side when she left us on July 24, 2012.
Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and medical staff of St. David's (main) for the wonderful care and compassion they showed Mary, as well as the respect and kindness to the family during this very difficult time.
Viewing from 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
