Sarah Minnette Powell, 80, received her reward of eternal rest on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. She was born on March 23, 1932 in Florida, the daughter of Ruth Carver. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Powell-Tovar; grandson, Anthony Tovar; and her step-grandfather Papa Jim Davis. Left with cherished memories are her children: Darci Powell, Jon Powell, and Pam Powell; grandchildren: Jacob Powell, Jonathan Powell, Angela Tovar, Britney Fowler, and Randi Powell; plus numerous other relatives and friends. She is now with her Savior. "For He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all ways."
Visitation will be held at 8:30 am on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral service will follow at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery, Manchaca, Texas.
