In 1973, he and Wanda moved to Dallas to continue his professional career as a management consultant. He and Wanda traveled extensively, cultivating friendships throughout the world.
Pat was a loving husband and a proud father, grandfather and father-in-law. He loved his family dearly and cherished his many friendships in Dallas and Spicewood where he retired in 2000 with Wanda in Barton Creek Lakeside. Pat was a man of vigor and gusto and always had his family or friends by his side as he enjoyed every moment of God's gift of life. He loved to play golf with his sons and many friends at the Lakeside Club where he was active in the club's leadership. He was also a member of Bee Creek United Methodist Church in Spicewood where he was on the finance committee and active in Church events and activities. Pat had a wonderful sense of humor and sparked life into any gathering. His passion for cooking, particularly Italian food, drew the compliments of all those who enjoyed a "Pat Loconto prepared feast". He will be deeply missed. From the entire family and friends, "We love you and will miss you More, Most, Forever, and Always."
Pat had an accomplished professional career marked by achievements and successes at every level. In 1965, he joined the New York office of Touche Ross & Co. He was admitted to the Partnership in 1970 and headed the firm's Financial Planning and Control Division. He transferred to Dallas in 1973 as Director of Operations for management consulting. While in Dallas, and in addition to serving clients, he also served as Regional Partner for the Southwest Region and as National Director for Regulatory Industry Consulting. In 1982, he became National Partner of Litigation Services. As part of his client services, Pat provided expert testimony on more than 100 occasions before more than 50 regulatory jurisdictions and state and federal courts of law. His expert testimony was primarily provided in connection with public utilities, including the electric, gas and telecommunications industries. Throughout his consulting career, Pat worked to strengthen and enrich the consulting profession. He was a founding member of the Institute of Management Consulting, past Director of the Association of Management Consulting Firms, and a Certified Management Consultant.

In 1985, Pat was appointed as National Director of Management Consulting of Touche Ross & Co. After the merger of Touche Ross & Co and Deloitte, Haskins and Sells in 1989, he was appointed National Managing Director of Management Consulting Services for Deloitte & Touche, USA. Pat also served on the firm's Board of Directors and Management Committee.
