Condolence: Taylor was a delightful, kind, and generous man. My greatest admiration for him is for the wonderful father he was to his children...and absolutely awesome Dad. I was always honored to get to be around him.
My prayers are with Inez, Taylor's very fortunate children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Condolence: My deepest sympathy goes to the Gaines family in the loss of Taylor. I have known the family from my years at Central Christian Church, where I attended with my mother and father, Kenneth and Georgieana Howard. Such sweet memories of his involvement with the church and of the good times visiting at their home. God Bless all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Condolence From: Joe Halton
Condolence: Starting in about 1957 my family and I lived on a five-acre tract that bordered a northeast corner of the Gaines Ranch. I never met Mr. Gaines but he conveyed permission to my Dad for the family to access the ranch. That access, which included Barton Creek, greatly expanded my horizons as a young child and I am forever grateful for his generosity.

Condolence: I have fond childhood memories of going to Mr and Mrs Gaines' house at the north end of Brodie Lane with my parents (both now deceased), Donald and Eula Mae Purcell. God called another great South Austinite home. My condolences to the family.
